Why?

I for one never realize how bad the war is until I see a picture or if I hear about it. I never really think about it in my every day life. But once I do see that picture I feel a huge sense of sadness and lack of knowledge. I hat people that are misinformed, as i have stated in my post Today. In this nation of ours we have the “Liberals” and the “Conservatives.” There are huge stereotypes going around. The reason I bring this up is this. In my old school there were a few people who thought that they were “Rednecks.” They were one sided people that hated “Hippies” and all people that did not like president Bush. They also supported the war and would make racial comments about the middle eastern people as a whole. This bothered me so much. To support something that big and not know what was going on. People need to realize what is going on and decide on what they support.

That was one thing on my mind the second thing is this. I heard on NPR the last thing people in New Orleans need to hear is the words Hurricane and Katrina. this is true two years and people are still suffering stress. They went on to say that there is no structure there. That the Police station was Two trailers in the middle of a parking lot. There needs to be a structure of government for a city to work. New Orleans are also electing a new mayor soon. I really hopes this new one will do terrific things for that great city.

Today Jeff was driving home I was with him. We were stoped at a red light in front of northgate. A truck in front of us had a bumber sticker that said ” War is Peace.” Next to those words it had a picture of president Bush. I could not belive somebody could think that way. It amazed me so much. War is not peace and as far as I am concerened there never will be complete peace in this world. Not until men learn to think a like which might never happen. Even so we need to take what we have and build on it. Even if there can not be peace we can have something else.

The past few days I have been trying to grasp something nearly impossible, Myself. I have been trying to find out who I am and why. It is hard might I say. I have been meditating and counting in my head. Blocking out everything in my head and clearing my head. I have not been able to uncover anything. I am trying to find a new part of my mind. This may not seem like it has to do with anything. But I will tell you this try it close your eyes block out every thing and count to ten. I am telling you this becuase in all of this chaos and termoil you need to take a little time for yourself. From this yo have a fresh if even not new mind. This is what New Orleans needs to do clear their mind of all violence and segragation and start a new. I can not think in my mind when a city has had to rebuild everything and start brand new, but then every thing has to start sometime. Try it you will feel better.

     Socity is corrupt. Pople care about things that do not matter. For example, expensive shoes, cooler cloths, and whos better at Halo. It seems like every where you turn there are things that are not a big deal. I am not attaking socity in any way. But we need to facus on what is important. Darfur, New Orleans, The Congo, Iraq to name a few. We need to get these things done important things. We need to focus on these things on New Orleans and not on who is better at Halo. Then we can change the world.(I do not want people thinking I am attaking Microsoft or socit)

There is a city. A city I have tought alot about. A city lost in disastor and hate. A city once in its prime but now gone waiting to be returned. A city that has is hardly a tought hardly anything. A city lost in chaos. A city poor. Nobody seems to care about the poor any more. A city lost in plain sight. A city everyone knows about but can not remember. Remember something that is not there.
Think deep in your head. You remember that city. I know you do. A city a great city lost forever when it is still there. A city that needs to be helped.

New Orleans…. ?

Baghdad, Iraq war has taken a country from bad to worse. Khartoum, Sudan Cival war tears a nation in half. New Orleans, U.S.A a city has fallen apart and has stayed that way for two years. No body doing a single thing, not raising a single finger to help a city in need. No body cares about this city all any body cares about is the Iraq war which is not going anywhere. Nothing is being done to help this city they are on there own. No more public housing, no more public schools, no more well anything.

New Orleans is a disaster zone here in the U.S. It is one of the worst natural disasters in history of the U.S. Its been how many years after 9/11 after world war II. Im not saying that these are insignificant events. But it has been many many years since that has happened. It has been two years. Two years since Katrina hit and people have already forgotten.
